#0305 - Setting up a copy iJET panel scanner (Titan H36, Designer 18) for scanning to file to a remote network PC

Description – This FAQ relates to setting up the following scanner configuration for network scan to file functionality:

1. The scanner is a copy scanner with iJET panel technology.
2. The scanner is connected to the network directly through its LAN interface - no PC interfaces the scanner.
3. The PC that is to receive the scans is on the same local network as the scanner.

In order to send scans into a designated folder on a network PC:

1. Network related settings must be applied on the scanner through its iJET panel.
2.The PC on the network that will receive the scans must be configured for the function through WIDEsystem software installed on that PC.

Solution:

The following pdf file contains a "Quick Guide" for setting up the scanner and the PC. The Quick Guide is divided into 3 sections:

  1. Setup your scanner on the network - describes settings to apply on the scanner through its iJET panel.
  2. Set a network computer to receive your scans - describes actions to perform on the PC through WIDEsystem. This section is supported by relevant screen shots from the WIDEsystem interface.
  3. Scan to file - to the network PC. - instructions on how to scan to file after the system is configured.
